The APC said the extensive structure brings together the presidency, party leadership, governors, National Assembly leaders, former governors, political organisers, lawyers, media professionals, fundraisers and election strategists across the country’s six geo-political zones.
Charging members of the council to work tirelessly for victory in the January 2027 presidential election, Tinubu urged campaign leaders to also mobilise party members who were not formally listed in the Council.
The President said his administration had delivered on its campaign promises and placed Nigeria on what he described as a path toward economic progress.
Tinubu urged the campaign team to showcase the administration’s achievements and inspire confidence among voters across the country. “As we march into the campaign season, we have many achievements to trumpet, let us confidently showcase our record and inspire hope in every corner of our nation”, he added.
The inauguration of the campaign council marks a major step in the APC’s preparations for the 2027 presidential contest, which is expected to be fiercely contested.
